OLR Students & Families

For the past two years the OLR Tri Challenge has been staged as part of the Stockland Caloundra Foreshore Fun Run. Each year, students have participated in three challenges, the physical challenge of completing either the 3km Fun Run (also doubling as the school’s cross country) or Family Walk, the class challenge of entering the highest number of students in the Fun Run and the individual challenge of fundraising.  The Tri Challenge was designed to engage students at different levels and be a fun and rewarding experience while at the same time raising funds for the OLR School.  In 2011 more that 250 students participated wearing bright blue t-shirts proudly sponsored by Stockland.

OLR students entering the 2012 Tri Challenge need to choose to enter either the 3km Run or the 3km Family Walk (with family and friends).  As long as students enter on-line before Friday 18 May 2012 they will be eligible to receive a Tri Challenge t-shirt.  Each student’s class and t-shirt details are requested as part of the on-line registration process.  Tri Challenge t-shirts will be handed out by teachers closer to the event and students can wear them to school in the two weeks leading into the Caloundra Foreshore Fun Run. Fundraising forms will be sent home with students after Easter.

Parents, siblings and guardians who wish to accompany OLR students in the 3km Run can register at the same time.  Up to 8 family members/friends can register for the Family Walk.  We encourage smaller OLR families to join together to enter the Family Walk to get best value from the $20 entry fee.

On-line registrations are now open.  Click on the links provided to register for the 3km Fun Run or the                        3km Family Walk.

All students, siblings, parents and guardians that complete the 3km Fun Run are also welcome to complete the Family Walk at no additional cost.  You will not need to register for the 3km Family Walk as you have already agreed to the event’s terms and conditions.
